Manage two site locations Spring Lake, MI and New Philadelphia, OH for the ISG division and will report directly to Corporate MP&L. MP&L manager will be focus on the management of materials, planning, and logistics at the manufacturing site. Ensures performance of critical MP&L KPI’s, which includes, inventory management, customer delivery, production scheduling, and cost management. Leads and develops a team of MP&L professionals to ensure compliance to the KPI’s. Understands forecasting and capacity constraints within the forecasting model.
Primary Responsibilities:
Implements and maintains the Inventory according to the Value Stream mapping and the Engineered Inventory values.
Ensure MP&L participation in each engineering change to ensure smooth phase out and phase in.
Assures proper communication within MP&L and with the other departments.
Assures proper communication with internal and external customers.
Participates in plant Value Stream Mapping exercise and implements the Kanban and Pull Systems accordingly.
Implements the Lean concepts and controls the Shipping and Receiving time windows.
Assures avoidance of the premium shipments.
Identify root cause and corrective actions through the 8D process for process failures
Collaborate with corporate logistics in regard to bidding processes for new logistics contracts.
Coordinates the capacity studies, analyze regularly customer demand variation and communicate in case of issues.
Analyzes production plans, manufacturing output and customer call offs. Prepares measure plans to ensure 100% on time deliveries.
Assures the daily contact with suppliers to receive the parts in the right quantity at the right time.
Assures the ABC analysis for the Inventory control
Ensure site is following corporate policy for inventory management
Implements and follows the DMN procedures.
Implementation of Material Flow initiatives within site.
Annual inventory budget preparation
Ensures accurate production scheduling and manages Build to Schedule metric. Need to drive collaboration with production and ensure at least 90% attainment is maintained.
Education and Qualifications:
University degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
Minimum of 5 years with 10 years preferred within Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics
Logistics, Transport, Customs and Planning Specialist knowledge
Excellent Microsoft Office computer skill
Management & organizational skills
Ability to take decisions under time pressure, self-motivated
Team worker, focused on internal and external customer
Knowledge about ERP systems (SAP R/3)
Experience in working with Health & Safety regulation
Project management abilities; ability to motivate the team members; Team player;

Availability for travelling abroad
