The Integration Architect will drive the design and delivery of world-class integration solutions and lead the Integration Cloud Competency Center within Crown Castle’s Digital group providing expertise on integration services. This includes taking a lead role in integration architecture and design practice. You will be challenged to recommend optimal integration solutions for new and existing cloud and on-premise applications to facilitate transformation for both business and technology processes. Your responsibilities include partnering with development teams and successfully lead the design of integration solutions. The Integration Architect will be accountable for defining enterprise integration framework, best practice standards and guidelines across Crown Castle’s applications. The role collaborates with other architecture disciplines to ensure new services align to roadmaps and associated strategies.


 


Essential Job Functions 



  • Architects the enterprise integration strategy and roadmap

  • Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state with the mindset of incremental, extensible capability roadmaps that demonstrate quick wins

  • Develops and oversees a repository of documentation related to integration architecture standards, protocols, frameworks, and techniques

  • Develops overall integration standards, guidelines, leading edge practices, and approved integration techniques and approaches

  • Defines integration strategies by building roadmaps, processes, templates, patterns, workflows, and other documentation that meet current needs and anticipated future needs

  • Gains insights into and anticipates customer pain points, challenges, and needs for integrations. Identifies business value opportunities and aims to deliver quality solutions

  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify and recommend integration solutions and strategies to resolve business challenges

  • Participates in the innovation process and continuous improvement by leveraging the latest industry knowledge

  • Participates in technology reviews; experiments with new ideas and technologies

  • Continually develops skills, knowledge, and abilities to maintain mastery of the enterprise integration discipline

  • Contributes to an inclusive environment that values differences by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and leadership

  • Defines, communicates, and documents the patterns, standards, and technologies for the enterprise integration architecture

  • Understands and communicates how integration architecture interacts, supports, and integrates with other technologies and information systems

  • Ensure solutions comply with agreed standards

  • Support testing, deployment, training and communication

  


Education/Certifications 



  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

  • TOGAF certification desired

 


Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information technology

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with a concentration on integrations

 


Other Skills/Abilities



  • Business analysis capabilities including ability to gather and document business requirements and business rules

  • Outstanding analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills; ability to weigh various suggested technical solutions against the original business needs and delivery mindset

  • Experience communicating integration strategies and best practices with business partners and development teams

  • Experience developing and delivering integration solutions, strategies and business process management

  • Design and implementation experience with iPaaS. Informatica experience preferred

  • Experience designing, developing, and administering message flows and web services

  • Experience in event-based integration, service-oriented architecture (SOA), information-as-a-service (IaaS), messaging, transformation engines, enterprise services bus architectures (ESB) and data streaming

  • Experience working with an Event Driven Architecture and Complex Event Processing, Publish and Subscribe solutions.

  • Experience turning business needs into a technical architecture that is scalable, flexible, and manageable.

  • Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting web services using SOAP and REST based interfaces.

  • Expert in application design/architecture, integration architecture development, and enterprise application integration

  • Experience working with the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.

  • Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems.

  • Experience contributing to and managing the development of policies, procedures and best practices.

  • Ability to provide both detailed information as well as summaries to management.

  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members and stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a project-based environment and exhibiting excellent project management skills.

  • Leadership, communication and oversight skills necessary ensure architecture frameworks and designs are followed

  • Enterprise vision and orientation to detail necessary to identify project and architecture risks

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and software project life cycle and associated methodologies.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding

  • Highly self-motivated individual with cooperative attitude and strong work ethic

  • Strong interpersonal skills; Needs to work well in a team environment

  • Excellent influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building.
