Job Description:

The Risk Administrator will work closely with the Risk Management and Safety departments to oversee all administrative functions relating to the departments. At Gentle Dental, our priority is our patients and providing them with the highest standard of care. Gentle Dental provides high-quality comprehensive care, including general dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. 

Major Responsibilities:  



  • Assist and train Practice Managers in creating and updating grievances into the Incident Report system.

  • High volume tracking and monitoring for each grievance to ensure offices are resolving grievances in a timely manner.

  • Document patient concerns regarding office or treatment provided into the grievance system

  • Demonstrates appropriate customer-care skills such as empathy, active listening, courtesy, politeness, helpfulness, and other skills as identified.

  • Responsible for generating all grievance letters and mailing them out to the patients.

  • Assist in recognizing the Clinical/Customer Service trends related to grievances.

  • Prepares, develops, and presents written case summaries for all insurance grievances to the insurance plan representative.

  • Actively assist in obtaining supporting documentation for each grievance.

  • Uses sound judgment and discretion when communicating with patients regarding their concerns and act as a patient advocate to help obtain a timely resolution.

  • Keeps current with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating Complaints and Grievances.

  • Audit Accounts in QSI accounts for improper billings.

 
Experience:                                        



  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree

  • Effective and accurate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience handling patients/customers

  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills

  • Advanced ability to research hot topics in Risk Management and Patient Safety

  • Advanced analytical and interpretative skills

  • Must be an excellent team player that possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills and a willingness to learn

  • Results-oriented, decisive

  • Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail should be complemented by a flexible approach to shifting priorities on multiple assignments

  • Creativity, adaptability, tenacity, a sense of urgency, and a hands-on orientation

 


Schedule


This opportunity is a full-time opportunity,   Monday-Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

pay range from $18-20 depending on experience
