Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, a CRH company, is the leading supplier of products specified to close the building envelope. They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.

Oldcastle Building Envelope in Hauppauge, NY has an opening for a porter/janitor to clean our offices and plant restrooms and lunchrooms.

This position is PART-TIME, 5 HOURS PER DAY, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. The start time of the shift is 9:00 AM but starting later is open for discussion.

The rate of pay is $15.00/hr.

Pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screen will be conducted on qualified applicants after acceptance of job offer.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, locker areas. This includes sweeping, washing, and /or vacuuming floors, cleaving lavatories, cleaning kitchen and lunchrooms (including refrigerators and microwave ovens)


• Clean parking lot and empty interior and exterior trash receptacles


• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor


• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, with occasional Saturday work ​​​​


• Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

• Excellent attendance and punctuality

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently


• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.


• Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
