Job Summary
The Service Technician will work with the service and installation team and be responsible to install and troubleshoot lighting and electrical systems and ensure compliance with codes. Report findings as required in a clear and professional manner. Maintain records and files, prepare reports and ordering supplies and equipment as needed. The successful candidate is professional, self-motivated, customer driven and passionate about the energy efficiency industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for troubleshooting lighting and electrical systems
• Maintain service records and reports
• Assist in doing walkthroughs on projects before, during and after installation
• Maintain 80% NPS score (customer satisfaction)
Requirements:
• LED/T8 and exterior lighting new installation / retrofitting skills and experience
• Lighting, electrical, and control systems experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong problem solving, conceptual thinking, planning and analytical skills
• Ability to learn and use company software programs / apps to complete work as necessary
• Outstanding client facing and interaction skills
• Ability to stand and climb up and down ladders for extended periods of time (Up to 8 hrs. /day)
• Ability to work individually or collaboratively in a positive team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines including paperwork and reports
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Office environment. Required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors on ladders, scaffolding, or lift equipment
• Ability to work individually or collaboratively in a positive team environment
• Valid driver’s license
Education, Training & Certifications:
• High School Diploma required
• Minimum of 2 years of lighting audit experience required
• Associates degree or better preferred
