Corporate Controller at Superior Drilling Products

Superior Drilling Products is looking for a Corporate Controller to work in its Vernal, Utah facility.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

  • Ability to live in Vernal, Utah (relocation package available).

  • Prior management experience.

  • Ability to manage a small intimate team.

  • Advanced understanding of GAP accounting principles.

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar roles or advanced preparatory roles.

  • 7+ Years’ experience cost and public accounting.     

  • Experience building monthly reports and analysis for executives.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 

  • A proven history of systems and process improvement. 

  • Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record. 

  • A proven ability to think strategically without losing sight of the details. 

  • A proven ability to explain reports in simple, straightforward terms. 

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and disciplined. 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree or CPA.

  • Experience working with Odoo.

  • SEC filing experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • International billing experience. 

Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership to in house accounting staff focusing on company values and culture. 

  • Ensure internal controls and SOX Requirements are effective and accounting data is accurate.

  • Provide accounting and financial analysis and insight to executive management including inventory control, asset control, general ledger, accounts payable, and product costs.

  • Provide analysis and insight for executives. 

  • Ensure all regulatory, SEC, and company policy compliance. 

  • Perform cost analysis and oversee month end close. 

  • Track capital spending and collaborate with management to provide continuous improvement and cost savings. 

  • Improve processes and procedures to efficiently accomplish account department goals. 

  • File weekly revenue reports. 

  • Manage and administer international invoicing.

  • Collaborate with the CFO as needed.
