Job Description:

The Mortgage Center provides end to end mortgage origination in all 50 states for Private Banking clients with unique needs. Our loans are generally complex transactions due to the financial diversity and sophistication of the client base. Our clients expect the highest levels of quality service throughout the process, resulting in an exceptional client experience.

The Vice President, Product Manager position is an integral part of the Mortgage Center Operations team and will act as a conduit between Operations and Technology teams to ensure systems and processes are optimized to deliver strategic solutions in the most efficient manner possible. The ideal candidate will drive improvements from concept through implementation, with an ability to identify opportunities, design solutions that marry technology and process and gain buy-in from stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Leads efforts to attain product vision and objectives, translating into a backlog of features and user stories.
  • Manages and prioritizes backlogs, collaborating and representing Business Stakeholders in developing impactful product features.
  • Facilitate and encourage the necessary conversations between the Business and Technology to determine the what and the how of the product features.
  • Partners with Product Managers to prepare features and user stories for planning cycles.
  • Develops and writes user stories that align to the product features, ensuring that user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and are updated in the system.
  • Develop partnership relationships with Other Technical and Operational Teams and maintain working rapport with others, leveraging these relationships to meet common project milestone/goal.
  • Provide cross functional knowledge of the mortgage origination process, technical infrastructure/systems, and software development lifecycle.
  • Identify all process impacts and ensure all documentation, both internal and Client facing, is current and compliant.
  • Proactively identify changes in the regulatory landscape, and translate those into features for prioritization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, business process improvement, project execution, or technology roles
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging environment
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple points of contact in order to achieve results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and sell a vision
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels, including the executive presence to interact with and influence Senior Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools with particular skill with Jira, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO.
  • BS/BA or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with the Mortgage industry
  • 2+ years of experience working within agile project teams, preferably as a Product Owner
  • SAFe certified
