Position Description:
AMETEK Precitech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Ultra Precision machining systems used to make the world's most sophisticated optics. This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and cost accounting responsibilities. Duties include: Involvement with revenue recognition and compliance, forecasting and budgeting, revenue and gross margin analysis, monthly close activities including consolidation reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as involvement in audits. The candidate should have a BS Degree in Finance or Accounting with 3-5 years of progressively increasing experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs month end close and preparation and interpretation of financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Assist with the preparation and evaluation balance sheet and income statement information, determining variances and trends and report to management.
* Assist with month end reporting packages.
* Performs month-end journal entries and reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy.
* Analysis of Capital Expenditures and maintenance of Fixed Asset register in Sage FAS.
* Performs Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing.
* Maintains effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets and an accurate reporting of financial position.
* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
* Demonstrates strong understanding of GAAP.
* Ensures revenue recognition compliance.
* Assist with internal and external audit requests.
* Ensure corporate/divisional policies and procedures are followed.
* Special projects and analysis as assigned.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required

EXPERIENCE:
• 3 -5 years of related accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency with office productivity applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• ERP System or Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
• GAAP, SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance experience preferred.
• Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
• Proven business partnership skills with the demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organizational environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines.
• The right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP Software and applications.
