Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Owns P&L and strategic responsibility for the division. Lead large product, marketing, operations, sourcing, and/or sales teams through global growth initiatives.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the business to include sourcing, vendor/customer contracting, sales, marketing, operations, pricing, finance, personnel development, quality, and competitive strategy.

  • Analyze global growth opportunities by channel and region; identify and prioritize divisional focus to achieve sales and margin growth targets based on acquired insights.

  • Drive the strategic development and launch of new products and programs to continuously change the game. Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs to bring those initiatives to market.

  • Work with product teams, manufacturing, sourcing, marketing, operations, and engineering to reduce cost of goods sold. Lead and manage sourcing / negotiation initiatives with supply chain; seek and implement a multitude of cost-savings opportunities to drive a best-in-class cost position vs. industry peers.

  • Direct the review and analysis of financial performance understanding all contributing factors. Identify areas of growth vs. opportunities for improvement. Develop revenue, cost of goods, and expense forecasts; ensure that all forecasts are supported with appropriate execution / staffing plans.

  • In an effort to achieve continued long-term growth, evaluate strategic opportunities to: a) acquire competitors, customers, suppliers b) build strategic partnerships upstream and/or downstream c) invest capital into high ROI initiatives.

  • Management responsibilities include:

  • Strategic, tactical and operational planning (24 months) for the function or department;

  • Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs;

  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops;

  • Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies;

  • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, general management, finance or business.

Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing, product management, sourcing within the healthcare or consumer goods industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.

Additional

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience presenting to a range of audiences - sales reps, sales leadership, division leadership and senior executive/C-suite level.
  • Position requires travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes (domestic and international).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA.
  • At least 7 years of experience with external vendor negotiations (including negotiating contracts, prices, resolving service issues and reconciling differences).
