BASIC FUNCTION:  Manage the basic operations of service in the Plaza Pub, the Wendy and Wilson Dining Room and Catering functions at the Plaza, and service to the Reflections units.  Provides exemplary customer service, creates and facilitates a fun, engaging and social atmosphere relative to the dining venue, interacts with the public and supervises servers and banquet workers.  Manage inventory, makes recommendations for purchases and facilitates ordering through accounting and accountability of supplies.  Minimum age: 21 for alcohol sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• 
  Front line Manager for the Pub, Dining Room, Reflections and Catering needs, in coordination with Food Services Manager.
  


• 
  Manage the preparation of tables in the Pub and Dining Room, Bar-B-Que areas, Patios, and set up of tables for Special or Catered Events.
  


• 
  Manage the staff, conduct interviews, recommends for hire and schedules food service wait staff to meet the needs of the Pub, Dining Room and Banquet needs, and for service to Reflections, adhering to staffing guidelines and budget.
  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  Completion of a high school or GED equivalency.  Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language.  Two years of food and beverage service experience in a lead or managerial position.


 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis.  Occasionally, will need to lift and carry up to 60 pounds unassisted.  Position requires the performance of simple motor skill activities such as writing, grasping, carrying, walking, standing and bending.  Must have full use of arms, hands and legs.  Must be able to walk, stand, squat, stand for long periods, bend over tables, climb stairs, reach above shoulders, and kneel.  Must be able to identify objects visually at a distance of 20 feet, distinguish normal sounds where there is some background noise, and be able to speak clearly and make self- understood.
