SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified construction representative to work at a government client site performing quality control and assurance. The construction representative is responsible for overseeing specific stages of facility related projects in order to provide and sustain safe, secure, and functional facilities for the Agency. This support includes assistance with planning, initiating, monitoring, and closeout of various types of facilities projects consistent with CBP Mission Support Facilities Program Management Office goals and commitments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist in the review and oversight of facilities projects designed to maintain, modernize and/or renovate existing facilities as well as construction of new facilities.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and information.
  • Maintain project costs, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Complete weekly and monthly internal and external reporting.
  • Perform quality control and assurance inspections and surveys.
  • Develop project briefings and presentations.
  • Maintain and organize project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information.
  • Investigate and resolve facility maintenance, repair, and renovation issues and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Provide technical editorial review on submissions to support organizations.
  • Assist with tracking project tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Develop project briefs and agendas for facility meetings.
  • Capture action items for project management teams, capture meeting minutes and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position has no supervisory or management authority

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • High School Diploma is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting facility related projects
  • Excellent communicate skills both oral and written
  • Ability successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is required

Desired :

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Facilities construction and maintenance experience a plus
  • A strong customer service background is desired

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office work exclusively with no travel
