Job Description:

SUMMARY
Oversee store operations in the manager's absence and provide customer service to patrons of the station in a professional and friendly manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Serve as shift supervisor for rest of the staff in the absence of the manager;
  • Be able to accurately complete all opening and closing procedures and daily reports within deadlines;
  • Provide cleanup and maintenance to the station facilities on a daily and as-needed basis;
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and merchandising to maintain adequate stock, refilling when necessary;
  • Code invoices for payment within deadlines and using correct account codes;
  • Serve as cashier and station attendant as needed.
  • Be on call and fill in shifts when needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise employees in the c-store in the absence of the manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid drivers license that meets MVR standards set by the company.
