Responsibilities

The Millwork Sales Consultant provides sales and marketing support and coordination of programs and promotions for the Millwork business. This position will monitor and track product sales, gross profit, product mix, promotional events, growth, and call planning as well as assisting in the development and communication of strategic team goals that maximize profit in sales territory. Millwork Sales Consultants provide information systems support, maintain current product information, price list, and bill of materials in system. Will serve as a liaison with vendors, sales representatives and customers ensuring timely and accurate data in systems. Assist inside sales reps with customer sales calls and provide quotes. Maintain knowledge of competitor products. Analyze new business opportunities, implement and coordinate merchandising, updating customers on new and existing products, promotions, and services. Provide training to customers, Boise Cascade staff, and vendors. Administer millwork vendor co-op/marketing funds. Ensure accurate account balances and receipt of reimbursements. Manage and maintain Production Scheduler to ensure accuracy of production capacity and meeting customer demands. Assist with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related reporting systems. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications : College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience with procedures used to design, code, test, and implement online and batch application systems, including experience with the coding techniques and structure of various high-level languages as well as machine and assembly languages.Working Conditions for an outside sales position include minimal physical exertion; required to drive personal car to customer sites, including active construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications : Broad knowledge of business administration, marketing, or procurement management a plus. May require professional certification. Effective communication skills required.
