Position Description:
AMETEK Precitech, Inc., located in Keene, NH seeks a creative and mechanically talented individual to build some the the world's most sophisticated machine tools.

We have an opening for a Mechanical Assembler who will perform assembly operations in both the Mechanical and Sub-Assembly areas to include assembly of a variety of machine systems involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic circuitry, precision controls, electro/mechanical components and units having precise and critical operation specifications. Specific work activities will include component installation, building and assembly of sub-components, installation of software, testing, tuning and troubleshooting, installation of slides, spindles, alignment of slides, tracing and measuring of mechanical components.

Position Requirements:
• Must be able to build, test, troubleshoot and operate a variety of complex mechanical components and associated systems.
• Must be able to read and understand all technical documentation and prints / specifications and use sophisticated measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to operate various machine and hand tools, including micrometers, verniers, soldering and wire crimping tools
• Skilled using material handling equipment such as cranes, hoists.
• Ability to work independently and meet production schedules.
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively with Engineering and Applications on standard and special system builds.
• Stand for extended periods of time, reaching with both hands and bending as necessary, and lifting up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.

Additional Duties:
• On occasion will require the participation in training of customers, customer buy-offs, training of field and other personnel.
• Occasional field work to include installations, and service work.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
High School diploma and advanced technical training with five or more years experience performing in a similar role, and the ability to demonstrate a very high degree of mechanical troubleshooting skills sufficient to perform in the position. Prior experience in machining of components highly valued.
