Job Summary:

Koch Foods is recruiting for a Box Room Operator. Box Room Operators safely and efficiently operate Wexxar and West Rock Box Erector machine equipment.

Koch Foods is a multi-temperature facility that runs 7 days per week.

Must be available to work weekends.

1st Shift: 7:00 am - 4:10 pm with starting pay rate of $12.00/hour

2nd Shift: 4:00 pm until finished with starting pay rate of $12.50/hour

Box Room Operators receive a pay increase after 90 days.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate Wexxar and West Rock Box Erector machines


• Execute schedule for boxes, changeovers and pack-offs


• Label and verify labels 


• Communicate with other operators, supervisors and coordinating departments


• Supply boxes to the lines ensuring needed box quantities to pack finished product and prevent product accumulation on conveyors


• All other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements:

• Accurately complete required paperwork


• Ability to read and comprehend specifications and instructions


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to work with minimal supervision


• Successfully pass math assessment


• Ability to work weekends


• Good attendance


• Organized with attention to detail

Physical & Environmental Factors:

• Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis


• Cold, damp, wet environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to 90+ degrees


• Stand/walk 100% of work day


• Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels


• Bend, stoop, and lift various weights as needed


• Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend


• Exposure to strong, raw odors


• Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time


• Manual dexterity of hands and wrists
