Job Description:

Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, P.C. is looking for you to join us as our next Medical Call Center Specialist!  

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone with call center or medical reception experience in a health care setting.  We are conveniently located in Wheaton, Maryland.  The position will require telecommuting as well as on-site work as needed.   Training will be provided on-site for the first 2-3 weeks. 

This position is perfect for recent graduates! 

Our Call Center Specialists are dedicated team members that provide excellent patient care to our patients' various needs.  We are seeking for you to be detail oriented, caring and can work independently. 

Your main duties:


  • Professionally, and in a timely manner, handle high volume incoming calls from patients and physician offices calling to schedule/reschedule and confirm appointments at the different locations

  • Enroll new patients and provide new patient packets

  • Provide assistance to patients regarding patient portal registration and navigation

  • Verify insurance eligibility

  • Screen calls, message taking and call transfers as needed

  • Provide back-up coverage for receptionists when needed

  • Maintain performance and quality standards based on established call center metrics including average speed of answer and handling times

  • Identify any trends related to incoming or outgoing calls that may provide policy or process improvements to support excellent customer service and quality improvement

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)

Experience:


  • One year of Call Center Customer Service experience, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment is a must 

  • Medical Office/Receptionist experience or insurance background preferred 

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
