This team provides cargo inspection and analytical assessment to the world’s petroleum, mining, minerals and biofuels industries. With solutions based on years of expertise, innovation and advanced analytical capabilities, we help customers optimize return on cargoes and help them resolve difficult technical challenges.

The Operations Coordinator will support the Caleb Brett business managing designated accounts for the branch office, area, or region the operational and testing functions for the branch.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, apply, develop, and maintain quality assurance practices which will enable the Laboratory to meet desired quality standards in a cost effective fashion.

Monitor quality assurance activities in the Laboratory to determine conformance with authorized procedures and good practices, and to make, or arrange to have made, corrections and improvements as may be necessary Laboratory quality assurance practices and activities referred to include, without being limited to:
Calibration, Method verification and validation,Proficiency testing, Application of statistical testing, Review and approval of data

Assist in, or conduct investigations of discrepancies to resolve problems with clients, and to inform Management of required corrective action.
Remain aware of developments in the quality field by reading current technical literature and attending technical meetings.

Advise in the purchase of those laboratory supplies, partially identified in QP/001/L, which have a direct effect on quality.

Execute or participate in internal quality audits, as directed by Management.
Assist in the training efforts of the Company.

W ork closely with Operations regarding the interpretation and implementation of any element of the Quality Management System, to resolve diferences, and ultimately to ensure that the system is understood and applied uniformly in the Branch.

Participate in, and take a leadership role in, the Branch's Management Review process.
Carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company’s Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Chemistry major helpful

5 + years experience overseeing the quality processes of a petroleum laboratory.

Petroleum/Petrochemical testing experience.

Oversee laboratory equipment.

Train laboratory staff on new protocols and regulations.

Stay current with regulatory changes and client requirements.

Effective communication skills.
