H2M Architects + Engineers , a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in the NY Metropolitan Area seeks a licensed Architect to lead our Westchester, NY architecture team.

Job Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the financial performance of the department; anticipates financial issues and communicates with Office Director and Discipline Director.

  • Responsible to manage resources of department and make staffing decisions including hiring and promotions.

  • Schedules and budgets technical resources for the department and/or specific project.

  • Plans and supports the training and development for staff to meet the needs of the business.

  • Responsible for the engagement of staff and recommends programs to facilitate improved engagement and able to foresee potential staff issues and control turnover.

  • Responsible to communicate all corporate information to staff.

  • Maintain /develop relationships with key clients for client satisfaction and business expansion

  • Build new client relationships with key accounts and develop strategic teaming relationships with firms in selected markets and identification of appropriate Teaming Partners to secure work.

  • Identify key accounts within targeted markets; provide executive presentations and maintain close relationships with a select channel of contacts at key accounts.

  • Manage all aspects of client relations including attending meetings.

  • Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive architectural activities.

  • Ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature architectural judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented architectural problems.

  • Determine compliance with technical documents and industry specific standards and codes.

  • Involved in the analysis of client problems in conceiving and developing architectural solutions to those problems.

  • Perform other like duties as assigned.


Education and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of architectural design experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of Architectural Design.

  • Exceptional knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Exposure to Revit and other BIM software

  • The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.

  • Strong organizational, time management & multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and Microsoft Office.

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required. Master's preferred.

  • Professional RA, required.

  • Architecture enrollment in NCARB IDP preferred.

  • LEED accreditation a plus.
