If you are a Human Resources professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson Automation has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Aiken, SC location, you will provide leadership for our ASCO Valve and Numatics Business (ASCO L.P.). This facility employs both salaried and hourly employees.  You will help to execute various initiatives including organization review, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration in support of driving business results through our employees.  AS A HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER:


  • Manage and provide HR leadership to functional departments at the Aiken, SC location
  • Coach and counsel managers and employees on employee relations issues, compensation, performance management programs, leadership development/training, career development and policy administration.
  • Lead recruitment and selection efforts including onsite interviews, and evaluation of candidates with the goal of building a diverse workforce that will make the Company successful. 
  • Manage and administer the annual benefit open enrollment process and educate employees on the benefit programs offered. 
  • Prepare annual salary and wage proposals to achieve compensation objectives established by the Company.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely and is in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Maintain reports and logs for the affirmative action program and ensure compliance with EEO regulations. 
  • Establish Human Resources policies and assure compliance and consistency. 
  • Provide effective leadership in promoting environmental, safety, and health initiatives through positive reinforcement of safe behavior.  Deliver clear direction to ensure employees are working safely by consistently and fairly enforcing environmental, safety, and health policies and work instructions.
  • Manage the organization review process for the site which includes creating development plans, talent plans and succession planning for future roles

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of general Human Resources experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership and sound decision making.
  • Solid understanding of governmental HR regulations (e.g., EEO, affirmative action, wage/hour requirements).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • 1-3 years of managerial experience 
  • PHR and/or SPHR preferred.
  • Supervisory experience 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
