Engineer - Entry to Mid-Level at Tetra Tech, Inc.

Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking an Entry to Mid-Level Engineer for our Denver, CO office.

The selected candidate will provide design and oversight support for several of our civil/environmental projects. Typical project tasks may include CAD design, writing construction specifications, cost estimating, CERCLA remedy evaluation, report writing, and construction oversight. Other tasks will include fieldwork such as environmental sampling and treatment plant operation and maintenance. Typical projects involve hazardous waste remediation, contamination delineation, water treatment, and abandoned mine reclamation. Careful and accurate data reporting and technical writing are expected. Up to 75% travel may be required at times but travel is generally anticipated to be less than 30%. US citizenship is required.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 0-5 years' experience working with civil or environmental engineering projects

  • Education or previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019 or 2020 preferred

  • Education or experience with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, hydrologic engineering, water treatment, CERCLA feasibility studies, cost estimating, and technical writing preferred

  • Highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment

  • Ability to travel across the State and the Nation as needed

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

  • EIT or PE preferred

  • A current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate is preferred

    In addition:


  • Lifting instruments and equipment up to 50 pounds, climbing up steep slopes and other difficult terrain, and work outside in extreme cold and heat may be required.

  • Must be able to don personal protective equipment, including a respirator, as necessary to complete tasks.

  • Air travel to field project sites outside Colorado will be occasionally required.

  • This position requires you to drive on a regular basis and will require passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) background check. A valid current driver's license to travel to and from job sites is required.

  • Must be able to obtain access to military facilities.
