UPS Capital is the financial services branch of UPS, established to meet the financial needs of businesses while accelerating money and goods through their supply chains. By combining financial services with all other UPS capabilities, UPS Capital creates a key link in the UPS global commerce synchronization strategy.
Other Duties
Special Projects as defined including preparation of materials for annual Strategic Planning conference held in late August, working with the Financial Planning Manager
Other Special Projects as defined by the Accounting Manager
Researches requested expenses and project trends within budget guidelines
Assists in developing and maintaining planning tools (e.g., Khalix, etc.) and templates to utilize in planning and forecasting
Assists in the collection of operating expenses from various support functions to contribute to financial planning
Assists in updating monthly and quarterly forecasts to ensure accurate forecasts are maintained
Preferred Competencies
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required); working knowledge of Access is a plus
Working knowledge of databases is strongly preferred
Strong analytical, time management, and communication (verbal/written) skills
Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; conducts financial analyses
Thorough attention to detail is imperative
