YOUR ROLE


  • Overall responsibility for the Cost and General Accounting activities for the manufacturing facilities, inclusive of monthly review and analysis of the results of operations, departmental spending (plan vs. actual), operating variances, and financial reporting

  • Analyze all SAP transaction generated data relating to departmental spending, production volume, scrap, material usage, all period variances (PPV, POV, Cycle Counts, etc.), obsolete, slow moving inventory (OSMI), allocations, for accuracy

  • Perform comprehensive analysis of cost variance(s) to ensure accuracy of standard costs, identify manufacturing trends (both positive and negative), and follow up on the trend analysis with appropriate actions with operations personnel

  • Direct responsibility for the annual development of standard costs for the manufacturing facilities, inclusive of ensuring that bills of material, routings, and raw material costs are current Maintain continuous communication during the year with BC

 

YOUR SKILLS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with 3 - 5 years of Cost Accounting experience.

  • Demonstrated competency in cost analysis PC skills including spreadsheet (medium-high) and word

  • Ability to be flexible and handle pressure in a positive manner

  • Communication & Teamwork skills

  • Advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, or CMA are a plus

  • Experience with SAP as a plus
