Job Summary:

In a career as a Supervisor of Educational Services, you join a team that is changing the lives of youth and families every day. The Supervisor of Educational Services develops and delivers training solutions and learning interventions for various programs. This position also supervises the work of trainers.

LIFT Together with Boys Town is a community-based partnership that addresses the complex underlying familial issues that prevent children from succeeding and provides preventative services in order to generate community-wide impact. The partnership works closely with teachers and administrators in the Las Vegas-area schools to identify those children in need of help as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Researches, designs, develops, and delivers training, supervises trainers.


  • Coordinates, produces, and monitors learning interventions for educator or agency in-service trainings and supervisor consultation trainings including scheduling, assigning, and revising workshops, role play groups, and trainings.

  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates School Support Specialists.

  • Helps trainers learn and develop by transferring skills, providing developmental opportunities, coaching, and providing encouragement to take risks and try new things.

  • Develops and maintains up-to-date training for multiple programs and positions ensuring that training supports the Boys Town Model and complies with Boys Town policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as COA and state licensing requirements; delivers training and consultation.

  • Coordinates and monitors the implementation of site-based training systems and facilitates the training of professional instructors, program supervisors, administrative leaders, and other employees.

  • Produces and presents training programs, workshops, or projects leveraging technology to deliver blended or distance-based training as required by contracts.

  • Presents, supervises, and monitors the quality of trainings, workshops, role play groups, and sections for accuracy and consistency.

  • Utilizes own vehicle to travel locally to conduct training and to consult with or observe staff.

  • Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and data collection systems. Develops community education partnerships with an emphasis on growing the programs, including higher education teaching opportunities.

  • Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagans Boys Home mission

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in social work, human services, education, psychology, or equivalent.

  • 3 to 5 years administrative or training experience; experience working within a community based or campus-based setting preferred; experience in a school setting is preferred.

  • Available to travel locally to complete training and consultations.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and external contacts by phone, in person, or through correspondence in an articulate, professional manner.

  • Ability to research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs, seminars, and conferences.

  • Ability to design and develop material for new training programs and to deliver within tight deadlines.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Strong relationship building and collaborative skills.

  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to make necessary adaptations to content, time, or audience.

  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects in parallel while maintaining quality standards.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentials to train courses requiring special qualifications.
