The Practice
Orange County HCA Crisis Stabilization - Urgent Care portion - Santa Ana, California

• The vision is to improve services to those most at risk from psychiatric emergencies. This location addresses both medical and behavioral health needs
• Psychiatrists and mental health nurse practitioners address the emergent psychiatric issues
• Point of Care Testing
• 8-hour shifts
• Located in the heart of Orange County

The Opportunity

• 2+ years of Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care or Primary Care experience preferred.
• Site provider model is single coverage.
• BLS, DEA
• Must be Nationally Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be comfortable providing medical management for patients in the Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization Unit.
• Full time Part time Pier diem opportunities

  Ideal Candidate:

  
  
• Must be comfortable managing Family Practice and Urgent Care type patient issues. Scope of duties will include addressing basic medical needs for a psychiatric patient population. Examples are:
• Urgent care procedures, women's health, medication refills, etc.
• Prescreening patients for medical appropriateness of transfer from referring facility.
• May require disposition of patient from facility from a medical standpoint.
