The Impact You’ll Make in this Role: 

The person hired for the position of Production Supervisor will supervise and manage all functions involved in the production of 3M Health Care products in a safe and economic fashion.  Responsible for:  direction supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee morale, and productivity.
 

As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing direct supervision to assigned team members through leadership, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignments, and performance feedback


• Leading team members working on defined work crews as part of 1, 2, 3, or 4-crew rotations with weekly scheduled hours up to and including 7 x 24-hour coverage


• Planning daily work schedules, determining priorities, allocating work assignments, and regulating production processes to meet specific daily production requirements


• Meeting Facility and Department objectives in the areas of safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement


• Handling shift administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Three (3) combined years of manufacturing and/or production experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Previous experience in supervision of direct hourly reports


• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)


• Demonstrated success working in a cross functional team environment


• Experience in manufacturing of biological indicators


• Lean Six Sigma experience


• Knowledge of computer programs relevant to Facility Operations

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
