The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Plant Engineering Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Scheduling, assigning, and directing craft personnel in performance of tasks for maintenance of equipment and/or facilities


• Monitoring progress and evaluate completed assignments to confirm use of correct procedures and to evaluate quality of work


• Providing technical direction to craftspeople and assist in diagnosing equipment problems as required to expedite work


• Participating with superior and others in the selection of new employees for ongoing development of the team 


• Training craftspeople in job requirements and basic technical skills and recommend training programs as needed to develop and maintain capabilities of work force

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or higher from accredited institution


• Five (5) years combined experience in maintenance and/or engineering


• Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be driving a company vehicle for this position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associate degree/Technical diploma or higher from an accredited institute


• Five (5) years of experience in a Maintenance Organization


• Basic mechanical, electrical and electronic applications


• Experience with Maintenance Management System and project management


• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
