The Sales Engineer is responsible for directly supporting the Learning Solutions team to lead qualified partner solution design efforts enabling Stride to predictably deliver learning solutions that will:



  1. Meet our partners needs today and, in the future

  2. Be deliverable in a seamless manner which supports our internal systems and service capabilities

  3. Identify areas of opportunity for partners to improve their operations today and in the future with additional Stride services.

The Solutions Specialist will complement the Sales Team, working directly with customers prior and during the close of the sale. This role will be both internal and external stakeholder facing, with a heavy need to collaborate across teams to design the right solutions.  This role is will be expected to consistently lend a voice around solution and product needs that are required in the market to meet our customers’ needs and attain revenue targets. This role conveys the needs to the Operations team, who will help define the requirements for Product Development.

  • Work closely with Sales team to lead complex partner/prospect engagements to ensure proper solution scoping and successful implementations

  • Follow the deal scoping process for collaborative discovery between Sales and Product Development to ensure that proper expectations are consistently set with our partners and delivery of solutions fits our capabilities

  • Execute client facing activities to support sales team around product design, discovery, demonstrations and delivery where opportunities are properly qualified and meet Stride Learning Solutions desired profile

  • Serve as the technical and scoping expert for product needs and solutions that will meet and exceed our partners needs

  • Collaborate internally with the Operations team to ensure product development aligns with market needs today and in the future

  • Work closely with the Director Solutions Architecture and align with the leadership and guidance provided

  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to communicate, advocate, and provide value proposition of our LS products and services

  • Identify weaknesses resulting in our losses and influence changes to improve those weaknesses

Supervisory Responsibilities:


This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.


Minimum Required Qualifications 



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 (Five)+ years’ experience in K12 online education, preferably working with sales in a technical capacity

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.


Other Required Qualifications: 



  • Ability to develop and demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of K12 products, technical programs and integration with school district needs

  • Familiarity with a wide array of learning-related technologies, Learning Management Systems, and an eye for user experience

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Strong oral, written and presentations skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to influence others and negotiate effectively

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Web proficiency.

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time

  • Ability to clear required background check

Desired Qualifications:  



  • 3+ years’ experience in solution design for K12 online learning

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting complex solution selling teams
