Position Summary:

The Technical Account Specialist works directly with our customers, as well as our Field Sales, Pricing, Operations, Service and Engineering teams, to provide our customers with first-class support for their Engineered coupling needs. Their role is to process and manage customer orders for Engineered couplings and services, advocate for our customers to provide timely and accurate information, identify and participate in business process improvements for order processes, and coordinate cross-functional activities for Engineered orders throughout the primary value stream.

Major Responsibilities:

• Review Engineered coupling orders for commercial and technical requirements; interpret and clarify these requirements with the customer and obtain any missing information.
  
  


• Ensure agreement between the customer's purchase order and our quotation, and coordinate entry of sales orders in our order management system.
  
  


• Coordinate cross-functional review meetings as needed to clarify requirements and optimize order processing throughput.
  
  


• Communicate with Operations and Design Engineering to prioritize and schedule orders.
  
  


• Serve as project manager for large, complex orders to ensure best cost and delivery performance throughout the organization.
  
  


• Coordinate fulfillment of customer requirements, such as design approvals, change orders, requests for information, support for field issues, technical support, etc.
  
  


• Coordinate cross-functional response to address customer complaints and warranty claims.
  
  


• Support additional customer service duties related to credit and collection disputes, payment terms, shipping procedures, documentation requirements, etc.
  
  


• Generate order status reports regularly and communicate to customers, Sales and Marketing.
  
  


• Follow the lead from Field Sales to support assigned accounts.
  
  


• Support Sales and Marketing with special projects as assigned.
  
  

• 5 years in customer-facing roles in a technical business, customer service role preferred.
  
  


• Two or four year technical degree and/or equivalent experience in a manufacturing-oriented business required. BS in an Engineering discipline preferred.
  
  


• Ability to manage projects and influence others in a cross-functional environment.
  
  


• Experience in identifying and implementing process efficiency improvements.
  
  


• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  
  


• Experience working with an ERP systems a plus.
  
  


• CAD experience a plus.
