Human Resources Generalist at Boyer Trucks

Job Description:

We are looking for someone who is extremely detail oriented, sensitive to corporate needs and employee goodwill and who has excellent interpersonal skills, capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. What You Do:


  • Provides administrative support to human resources functions as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, Benefit audits and reconciliations). Ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations.

  • Works closely with Recruiting; leads new hire process after a job offer is accepted. Includes personnel file set up, company introductions, benefit enrollment, and all aspects of onboarding a new team member.

  • Processes Employee Action Forms related to new hires, employee reviews, promotions, merit increases, transfers, and separations.

  • Monitors and ensures that Employee Performance Reviews are done in a timely manner.

  • Maintains employee HR, Benefit, DOT, and Workers Compensation files.

  • Monitors and closes terminated employee files.

  • Inputs data into the Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.

  • Maintains and processes Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely efficient manner.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

  • Keeps HR Manager and team advised of potential problem areas.

  • Analytical Responsibilities:

    • Collects and analyzes staffing data for monthly HR Key Performance Indicators Report

    • Analyzes compensation data as requested, including running historical reports as requested

    • Conducts audits of various payrolls, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.

    • Inputs and analyzes data to file Affirmative Action, EEO-1, and Vet 100 reports annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO and OFCCP regulations.

    • Track trends and developments in assigned functional areas (i.e. staffing, compensation, terminations)

    • Conduct studies, performs research, and prepares reports

    • HR Database Administrator - Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.

    • Assists HR Manager Director with various research projects and/or special projects.

    • Acts as back-up for payroll administration.



What You Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience administering employee health and welfare plans.

  • Knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn HRIS system.

  • Paycom knowledge is preferred

  • Must be proficient Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Multitask oriented and enjoys working on projects


  • Physical demands:

    • stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
