DESCRIPTION
Flint Hills Resources is looking for a MAINTENANCE MANAGER to work at our Arthur, IA biofuels facility. This position will be accountable for providing leadership, ensuring safe work practices, developing/approving procedures to maximize craft productivity associated with routine work and overseeing the site's preventative and regulatorily required maintenance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE
* Effectively communicate site priorities and key risks that could impact production goals
* Ability to establish department priorities, goals, and lead a team to achieve desirable outcomes
* Accountable for employee and organizational development plans and people management strategies
* Partnering closely with peer leaders to transform the way we do work to improve plant operations
* Create and present reports detailing maintenance activities, state of plant equipment, shut down planning, and cost control
* Responsible for the development of the annual Maintenance spend plan
* Leading and supporting the development and execution of preventative/proactive maintenance
* Ensure spare parts are managed to maintain acceptable reliability and production objectives
* Ensure department activities are in compliance to all company, government and site operational department's regulations
* Ability to lead a root cause failure analysis to eliminate defects, improve reliable engineering practices and utilization of the facility
* Own contractors and vendor relationships for the site
* Coordinate and lead scheduled shutdown event annually
* Coordinate after hour work and callouts, to include emergency work
THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years' experience within a reliability or maintenance focused role OR at least 6 years' experience within a reliability or maintenance focused role
* Must possess a valid driver's license
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Ability to respond to plant upsets outside normal business hours
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2 years of supervisory experience
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Systems
* Knowledge of maintenance procedures for centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits and equipment
* Experience with Root-Cause Analysis for failure elimination of bad actors.
* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and basic instrumentation troubleshooting
* Understanding of maintenance best practices such as shutdown planning and execution, preventative maintenance, and precision maintenance techniques
