Lead Software Developer/Data Scientist

LOCATION: ADDISON, TEXAS OR REMOTE- US

Infor Talent Science is looking for a brilliant, driven, and experienced Lead Software Developer/Data Scientist to manage our cloud environment, develop cutting-edge science-based applications, conduct innovative research, and build client-facing predictive models. This person will also be working directly with leadership to enhance current science-based applications and our collective predictive modelling expertise.

A DAY IN THE LIFE TYPICALLY INCLUDES:

* Lead the technical design and implementation of new apps, predictive models, and reports

* Cooperate with other departments in developing innovative prototypes for potential products

* Manage our cloud-based infrastructure including development, test, and production environments. This includes managing web servers (LAMP), databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra), Git repos, and working with the DevOps team to manage AWS instances

* Generate data-driven reports and accompanying visualizations by discovering meaningful insights in our data and developing new data models

* Develop requirements and technical specifications for new products as well as for maintenance and updating of current products

* Partner with scientists and developers to implement app performance and design standards

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Basic Qualifications:

* Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with an emphasis on machine learning or data science

* 5 years of experience coding and testing. Mandatory languages include Python (Django), Java, React.js, JavaScript, bash programming, CSS3, and HTML5

* 3 years of experience in SQL, T-SQL and/or working with relational databases that support SQL as a query language, (e.g., Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server)

* 5 years of work experience, preferably within an R&D group in software development

* 3 years building/working with predictive models and deriving insightful analytics

* Expert knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and data analytics using field data

* Demonstrate expertise in popular programming languages and scientific libraries

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD?

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and additional analytical tools (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R) is a plus
