As the LEAD SOLUTION DEVELOPER FOR NONPROFITS you will have a significant impact on our customer success by owning our NGO demo assets. Through designing, building and coordinating these global assets you will assist our Solution Engineers in bringing world-class technology demonstrations to life for meaningful social impact.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

As part of the Salesforce.org Ohana and the Solution Engineering organization, our vision is to deliver the world's most innovative solutions to the trailblazing nonprofit and education communities in the world. The mission of the Solution Development team is to design and build efficient demo environments for use by our Solution Engineers (SEs). Each demo environment incorporates the latest product capabilities that Salesforce has to offer, and is then tailored to meet the needs of our nonprofit customers and prospects to tell their individual Customer 360 stories.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Solution Developer to join our team and provide product ownership of our nonprofit industry demo assets. This is your chance to define the future and set the standard for how our Solution Engineers (SEs) demonstrate solutions to prospects and customers. In this role, the LEAD SOLUTION DEVELOPER will leverage a variety of skills and a strong software engineering background to build a cross-functional strategy that leverages the full spectrum of Salesforce technologies. This role is responsible for driving the lifecycle of nonprofit requirements through discovery, design, development, documentation, support and enablement.

YOUR IMPACT:

As a Solution Developer your responsibilities include:

Own the nonprofit demo environment from idea to reality: project manage the demo creation process including use case/feature prioritization, storyboarding, validation, demo build, release communication, and enablement.
*

Partner with nonprofit industry stakeholders within the organization, including the industry product & marketing teams, on product roadmap, requirements gathering, and identification of use case priority based on demand and market opportunity.
*

Architect and build end-to-end Salesforce demos that cross multiple solutions and platforms, both Salesforce and 3rd party.
*

Understand and implement the newest Salesforce features, keeping up with the fast pace of 3x/year Salesforce product releases. This is an environment where you are always learning.
*

Monitor and respond to demo related questions: troubleshoot issues with the demo environment and collaborate with technical teams as needed to resolve them.
*

Create & maintain related demo SE Enablement assets including scripts, videos, how-tos and more.
*

Deliver demo strategy and trainings to Solution Engineers and communicate demo release updates.
*

Support and deliver related product demonstrations at Salesforce.org events and participate in customer meetings as technical industry expert.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

*

B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, MBA, or equivalent work experience.
*

Minimum of 7 years work experience.
*

Experience administering Salesforce using the force.com platform.
*

Certified Salesforce Administration, Salesforce Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, and/or hands on nonprofit technical experience or Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certification.
*

Project management skills to orchestrate complex projects.
*

Technical aptitude to understand data models, system integration, data migration, and how to implement Salesforce.
*

Has proven experience overseeing technical development process of bringing new solutions to market.
*

Has a deep understanding of the capabilities of the Salesforce platform, specifically in nonprofit and education sectors.
*

Ability to recruit and lead a cross functional team to accomplish project goals.
*

Ability to prioritize and delegate work in a fast paced environment.
*

Working knowledge and experience with ALM tools including Salesforce DX.
*

Familiarity and strong working knowledge with modern scripting languages, and Salesforce Development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Salesforce Apex and Salesforce Database Languages (SOQL, SOSL).
*

Self-directed problem solver, proven track record of strong collaboration and communication working with business and technical stakeholders.
*

Has a deep commitment to making the world a better place through technology, and a desire to make a positive impact through collaboration and community engagement.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

*

Experience as a sales engineer.
*

Experience working with/in the nonprofit industry.
*

Certified Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect.
