Job Description:

SUMMARY: Greets Feed & Seed customers at our Plaza West location. Manages inventory, ordering product, receiving and unloading incoming orders, loading out customers. Keeping a clean and presentable warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following:


  • Greet all feed customers / face of customer service in Plaza West
  • Manages billing and receiving in inventory
  • Manages inventory in Plaza West Feed warehouse
  • Keeps warehouse clean, organized and presentable for customers
  • Be able to run forklift to load/unload trailers
  • Orders Feed from Suppliers
  • Dispatches Intercompany route truck
  • Be open and willing to contribute on special projects

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or be able to get it quickly.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of customer and personal services, mechanical, administration and management, and computers.

SKILLS

Equipment and maintenance, repairing, troubleshooting, active learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, active listening, installation, equipment selection and maintenance, time management.

WORK ACTIVITIES

Work activities performed on the job include operating vehicles, mechanized vehicles, or equipment; getting information; updating and using relevant knowledge; documenting and recording information; repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment; inspecting equipment and materials; making decisions and solving problems; and communicating with supervisors, peers and subordinates.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Vision must be adequate for driving and passing CDL.
