Direct the preventative maintenance process for the boilers to ensure that production operates at maximum efficiency.
Maintain and operate the temperature and ventilation systems in boiler room. Perform modifications, component replacement, and troubleshoot calibrations as needed. Perform downtown maintenance as needed.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications. Reassemble machines after completion of repair or maintenance work.
Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise management of repair needs – troubleshooting.
Boiler Chemical Treatment when needed.
Perform duties while working safely – awareness/identification of hazards, ensuring proper PPE is worn, maintaining a clutter free work area, following safety procedures and polices (ex. LO/TO, Confined Space, Right To Understand, Fall Protection, etc.)
Correct and/or report unsafe acts and unsafe working condition through proper procedures.
Ensure all food safety/quality polices are followed, and to report any problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
Responsible for ensuring wholesome products are being produced safely.
Maintain records and report results to management and regulatory agencies
Maintain all waste water equipment are in good working order.
Ensure all permit requirements are met and test results that fall below thresholds.
Perform daily testing on waste water systems and record results. Make necessary adjustments to system to maintain proper operation.
Operate and maintain compressed air systems in a safe and efficient manner.
All other duties as required.
Experience, Skills, Education:
3 to 5 Years’ Boiler Operation Experience
Certified Stationary Engineer – Certification must be (A) Gold, (B) Red, or (C) Blue - Required
N-2 Water Waste License – Required
Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
Knowledge in preventative maintenance and good repair practices
Knowledgeable in repairing and rebuilding pumps
Ability to replace motors, valves, aerators, and filters
Must be able to run and fit PVC and black piping
