Reports to the Radiology Manager. Daily duties include support of all RIS/PACS applications ensuring timeliness of reading of all imaging procedures. Demonstrates positive, friendly interpersonal communication skills with patients, visitors, physicians and associates.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Terminology completed or to be completed within 3 months of hire. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of related job experience is required. Previous medical office experience required.
Knowledge & Skills
Computer proficient and experience with all types of office equipment.
Practices good telephone etiquette.
Familiar with EGH computer software.
High school or commercial training with classes in keyboarding and English.
Must have multi-tasking abilities in a high stress environment.
Ability to read well and perform and understand detailed instructions, learn quickly, and work independently.
Will be required to become familiar with radiology exams, times required, preparations and their effects.
Must be able to read and pronounce radiology terminology, as well as doctor's handwritten orders.
Working Conditions
Capable of working first and second shifts including 12 hour shifts, all days of the week including overtime if required as well as some holidays.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, as well as intermittent sitting and walking, with occasional lifting of boxes.
Will operate standard office equipment, including PCs, fax machine, copy machine, printers and telephone systems.
Potential eye strain from using computer screens is possible.
