Job Summary:
Drives the Blue Diamond Growers media strategy and plan optimization for the North American Consumer marketing group. Executes the process to include strategy, analysis, program optimization and budget oversight. Provides recommendations on to optimize media investments across the brands and media channels in response to evolving business needs. Works closely with the brand teams, shopper marketing and external agencies to develop outstanding media programs to drive sales, increase consumer loyalty and provide a high level of ROI for the businesses. Plays a crucial role in achieving our business goals.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                        


  • Plans and develops the media strategy for all brands in the North American Consumer division. 

  • Directs media planning agency and partner with Brand teams to create and execute the media plan. 

  • Leads and manages the marketing mix analysis and digital media audit in conjunction with external agencies. 

  • Provides recommendations and insights to agencies and brand teams based on analysis.

  • Develops KPIs for all media programs, report on effectiveness and make timely recommendations to optimize each program.

  • Maximizes ROI for all media: TV, Print, OLV, paid search, social media, audio and digital.

  • Oversees media budgets and provide frequent update on status versus plan to senior management. 

  • Manages accounting process with agencies and internal groups and ensure billing and credits are timely and accurate.

  • Takes ownership of corporate website traffic. 

  • Provides recommendation for improving traffic and optimizing the website experience. 

  • Partners with brand teams, website agency and media agency to maximize effectiveness of the site.

  • Supports shopper marketing group by evaluating effectiveness of retailer digital media programs.

  • Makes recommendations for digital shopper plan.

  • Stays up to date on the latest digital technologies, media channels and best practices. 

  • Provides recommendations and insight to the enterprise on these topics.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS                                                                     


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 15 years or greater years of experience in media with 3 years of experience within CPG industry.

  • Minimum of 5 year of experience in managing and executing digital media (OLV, SEO, SEM, paid search) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

  • Expertise with all forms of media: traditional (TV, print), digital and social.

  • Experienced managing agencies and cross functional teams to drive projects forward.

  • In depth knowledge of marketing mix analytics and ability to leverage tool to develop programming.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. 

  • Comfortable challenging agency plans and presenting recommendations to senior managers.

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with IRI or Nielsen data.

  • BA in business, marketing or related area.

  • If working remotely required to travel to BDG Corporate offices as required.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES


  • Agency and client-side experience.

  • CPG Food and beverage industry experience.

  • MBA or related masters degree preferred.
