Market & Competitive Intelligence, part of the Strategy & Integration team at Zimmer Biomet, is a global initiative that is working to build a best-in-class team to house and manage the market models and other key intelligence resources. The Market & Competitive Intelligence team is hiring an Intern that enables Zimmer Biomet’s mission to deliver innovative solutions that optimize patient outcomes and solve our customers’ greatest challenges. The Market & Competitive Intelligence Intern will support postings to monitor business, competitive, customer and industry issues affecting Zimmer Biomet’s (ZB) current and potential lines of business. The Intern will play a supporting role in sourcing, organizing and communicating internal tools and resources that support data driven decision making across ZB. In a typical day, you will review and post articles from across the globe. The data could be an Excel file, news from Wall Street or a syndicated market report. It will be your job to dig through data points and identify what’s meaningful. You will become the co-owner of ZBs online research portal, and manage user access, as well as special report distribution. We’ve designed a special project just for you. As an Intern on the MI/CI team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design, construct, and maintain a competitive tracking database that will be used to identify adjacent markets of interest to ZB. You will also support various MI/CI team research deliverables as they arise. In this Internship you can anticipate exposure to: § The Medical Device industry. § Market model development, market sizing § Practical application of Excel in the business world. § How data and information is applied to make a strategic decision. Primary client groups include the Market and Competitive Intelligence, Strategy, and Business Development Team. Position may include interaction with Investor Relations team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Own ZB Online Research Portal; find and post daily relevant news articles, update dashboards as appropriate, send special reports and manage users. - Support market analysis to identify trends and development of materials for communication with team and upper management. - Design, construct, and maintain market and competitive tracking databases . - Attend and support presentation and discussion materials for team meetings and group functions. - Highly motivated, self-starter, enthusiastic, well organized, willing to meet strict deadlines. - Critical thinker with desire to develop analytical skills. - Interested in advancement by achieving and driving results.

Expected Areas of Competence

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to deal independently with many issues at one time and prioritize accordingly. - Advanced beginner to intermediate Excel proficiency and comfortable with PC based systems, MS Office (Power Point and Word), and Internet Explorer. - Comfortable working remotely, reliable, and a self-starter. - Ability to work as a team on group deliverables. - Naturally curious and analytical.

Education/Experience Requirements

- Must be actively enrolled an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment. - Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree with at least a junior level standing. - Bachelor of Business Administration majors preferred. - GPA of 3.2+ preferred.
