Job Description:



Responsible for providing leadership and direction for all facilities maintenance and EH&S related items. Coordinate and supervise the work of technical employees or contractors during general maintenance and routine upkeep of the company’s facilities and equipment to assure they are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations. Prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees and assist to comply with safety and environmental laws. Implement company policies to minimize or eliminate hazards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate all facilities maintenance activities in the facilities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, and developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues including safety, health, and environmental risks.

• Monitor maintenance inventory and place orders when necessary.

• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

• Responsible for oversight the cleanliness and comfort of the facilities by keeping all heating, furniture, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems in top operating condition.

• Allocate workload and supervise facility upkeep (custodians, janitorial services) while managing relationships with contractors and service providers.

• Support and ensure compliance with government safety regulations, industry standards, and that health and safety policies are implemented and complied with.

• Prepares and schedule training to cover emergency procedures and workplace safety. Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.

• Investigate near misses and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.

• Maintains records for waste, energy usage, and / or pollutants as required



• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or occupational health, safety or a related scientific field such as biology or chemistry required.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in EHS, Facility Maintenance and / or Manufacturing roles required.

• Experience in planning maintenance operations preferred.

• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems preferred.

• Good knowledge of environmental and regulations and policies.

• Deep understanding of health and safety guidelines

• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
