Summary:

Work on integrated communications and social media programs to meet the strategic priorities of the Association unit and key programs. Provide overall strategic direction, manage Associations social media programs, manage organizational channels and serve as the primary point of contact to various working groups. Drive communications and content strategies and responsible for implementation and project management, ensuring that the goals of the overall business and communications are met.


 Accountabilities & Responsibilities 


  • Create, manage and optimize campaigns and content across channels, including, but not limited to blogs, newsletters, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.

  • Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

  • Develop and manage editorial calendar and schedule content based on organizational priorities

  • Drive multi-channel implementation of owned  and earned campaigns

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required


    • Key skills:  accounting and finance knowledge, talent management, problem solving and communication

    • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus among various communications team members and technical specialist

    • Working knowledge and experience in planning, managing and executing social media initiatives that span owned, earned and paid platforms

    • Knowledge of digital marketing current best practices

    • Knowledge of social media legal guidelines

    • Dedicated to continuous learning and exploration of new social media techniques

    • Strategic thinking and the ability to see how specific information fits into larger mission

    • Coordination and project management skills

    • Excellent communication and writing

    • Decision making/judgment

    • Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly communications

    • Working understanding of standard-setting process and organizations

    • Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure to meet project deadlines and goals and resolve challenges

    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to consult and bring internal clients to consensus and able to deal effectively with diverse groups

    • Ability to manage several concurrent, unrelated projects involving different teams with tight deadlines

     

    Required Experience, Qualifications & Education


    • Minimum 7 years related experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline

    • Effective execution and management of communications efforts, including development of plans and tactics and coordination with team members and business owners

    Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education


    • Previous writing experience

    • Basic accounting and finance knowledge
