MRB Coordinator

Summary of position:

MRB Coordinator will administrate the Material Review Board and Non-Conformance Reports processes within the Quality System to ensure timely disposition of product and address issues and trends effectively and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential functions and duties:

- Validate Incoming, Final Inspection and In-Process rejected components and assemblies.

- Verify components and purchased materials, Non-Conforming Material Reports and ensure the accuracy of data reported.

- Conduct material movement transaction from and to MRB Inventory, RTV (Return to Vendor) on the ERP System.

- Perform stock sweep activities to ensure accurate and comprehensive containment of defective or suspected materials.

- Collect the necessary evidence of non-conformance and update the Non-Conforming Material Report.

- Coordinate proper Material Review Board (MRB) disposition with Quality Department, Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing as necessary.

- Use the ERP system to analyze MRB Inventory and take the necessary action to determine proper material disposition

- Communicate critical material problems to the concerned departments to ensure minimum impact on production schedule.

- Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming material inventory and take the necessary action to determine proper material dispositions.

- Interact/respond to suppliers for product returns and requesting RMA (Return Material Authorization)

numbers.

- Communicate approval MRB Dispositions to Accounting, Purchasing and Materials to ensure receiving credit for returning credits for return or scrapped materials.

- Administer the RMA (Return Material Authorization), RTV (Return to Vendor), MRB (Material Review Board), and NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) Systems and Databases.

- Daily communication with suppliers, via phone, email to perform a variety of duties in support of Supplier Quality Management and the control of Non-Conforming Materials.

- Generate periodic facility metrics related to NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) activities including Scrap caused by NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).

Non-essential functions and duties:

- Follows all safety and health guidelines/rules for the machine shop.

- Keeps work area clean by sweeping, wiping down machines, etc.

- Follows the 5s procedures for department.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must have a high school diploma or GED

- Must have a two years or more experience in Quality, Manufacturing environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- 3 years experience with electronic production drawings.

- Able to read and understand cable assembly drawings.

- Able to read and understand components Military Specifications and other industry standards.

- Good organizational skills.

- Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Word, Excel, & Access.

- Detail oriented.

- Able to adapt to sudden schedule changes and/or meet critical due dates with a positive attitude.

- Demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills.

- Able to work with minimal supervision.

Language skills:

- Ability to read and interpret training documents, safety rules, and procedural documents.

Mathematical skills:

- The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.

Reasoning ability:

- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

- The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

- Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
