What You'll Do

The Dietary Clerk - Hostess will be responsible for providing support to Hillcrest Medical Center pertaining to food selection, dietary needs, room service, inventory and overall assistance to team.

The successful candidate will be able to:

* Assist with various processes related to the preparation and delivery of meals to patients and visitors

* Answer multi-line telephone, while relaying information to kitchen concerning meal changes, complaints and/or patient discharges

* Assist with service recovery, patient meal rounding, tray assessments and other quality assurance functions

* Serve meals to patients in a professional and efficient manner

* Attend and participate in all mandatory "in-service" and staff meetings

* Assist with inventory, fulfillment and other diet clerks when applicable

* Confidentially and accurately handles all patient and diet information to ensure that patients receive food according to their diet order and food allergies

What You'll Bring

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to obtain and/or already possess an Oklahoma Food Handler's Permit

* Ability to read, write and speak the English language

* Must be willing to work rotating shifts, which include nights, weekends, and holidays

* Ability to demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills on a daily basis

* Provide exceptional customer service skills with the ability to assists patient with appropriate menu choices to comply with the diet prescription

* Ability to learn company specific computer programs and be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge level of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Be willing and able to maintain professional standards of practice and adhere to Hillcrest's Code of Conduct policies at all times

* Possess good hand-eye coordination and the ability to operate basic food service equipment

* Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
