Responsibilities
This position sets the highest standards for professionalism and administrative competency as the department continues a period of program growth. This position works as a member of the Department's faculty administrative support team, which is comprised of clinical and academic research faculty members. The incumbent serves as the executive support to the department's clinicians. The position serves as the primary coordinator for all clinical administrative activity, which includes interacting and facilitating clinician s needs, and maintaining a very complex service schedule/calendar for the clincial faculty.

Position requires knowledge of, and the ability to interpret, analyze, and apply Health System, Campus, and System-Wide policies and procedures. Incumbent will exercise professional discretion and institutional knowledge to execute daily executive level administrative tasks, which often require independent decision making. Required to resolve routine issues as they arise and enlist the help of supervisor as needed. Attends training to stay abreast of current policy and procedure changes, and issues related to efficient office administration. Requires the ability to work as part of a collaborative team with groupthink functionality.

Required Qualifications

* Excellent organizational skills; demonstrate skill to work on projects with competing deadlines and to establish goals and workload priorities; and flexibility in dealing with people and competing demands

* Strong planning and organizational skills to manage projects, to schedule and coordinate large meetings and special events and monitor/maintain complex calendars; and ability to work with detail and complete tasks on time, with little or no supervision.

* Extensive experience using MS-Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint); EEDS, MIV, WebEx, and ability to learn LIS (Laboratory Information System) to retrieve data and analyse in Excel

* Experience working in academic and research enterprises; deciphering technical research information and findings, placing them in context and communicating them to various stakeholder audiences

* Working knowledge of University policies and procedures


Preferred Qualifications

* Skill to effectively and efficiently manage multiple, complex electronic calendars preferred, experience and strong organizational skills to schedule and coordinate large-scale conferences/meetings and special events

* Previous expereince providing high level, executive administration support in a healthcare enviroment


Special Requirements

Occasional overtime and or weekend work may be required. Operation of own personal, insured vehicle (mileage reimbursement per University Policy) or University passenger vehicle for transport of visiting faculty and to attend off site meetings/events.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
