Job Description

North Wind Site Services is currently seeking a Security Supervisor for the Limited Areas to provide expertise, guidance, and advice to management as required concerning all security administrative functions in support of a compliance Security Department.

Functions include preparing new security plans and procedures as well as rewriting existing security plans and procedures with administering security briefings and/or training as needed. Candidate will also serve as a company FSO. These duties will include maintaining visitor and other security policies and procedures in assigned location, administer and execute a strong collateral security program in compliance with the NISPOM and associated corporate and government policies and directives, verify visitor clearance status and maintain facility visitor logs, administer procedures for handling, storing, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Must possess an existing DOE clearance, have knowledge of physical and personnel security and investigations requirements and procedures, and demonstrated familiarity with Government/DoD/DOE correspondence standards and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

* Represent TWPC Management chain of command in the execution of daily activities

* Complete time sheet daily

* Establish and maintain physical security procedures, security plans, etc. for the facility

* Develops concepts of operation

* Conduct audit of the developed plans and procedures to system operation, and notify management of abnormalities

* Conduct annual self-inspections of the security plans and procedures, and report all vulnerabilities to the Security Manager

* Recommends modifications to plant operations as conditions change

* Assist with Self- Assessments

* Applies company employee relations policies in all dealings with employees

* Maintains good housekeeping in the department

Desirable Skills

* Safety Awareness- Ability to adapt to and maintain a safety-conscious work environment

* Ethical- Ability to demonstrate, conduct, and conform to a set of values and accepted standards, such as honesty, integrity, reliability, and accountability

* Detail Oriented- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task, and perform work accurately and thoroughly

* Organized- Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task

* Team Work- Ability to effectively work within a team environment to accomplish work activities, exhibiting a professional demeanor toward co-workers and customers

* Communication- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with others using both the spoken and written word, as well as ability to actively listen and comprehend communication from others

* Know and demonstrate knowledge of DOE Orders and Code of Federal Regulation as that relate to maintaining compliant Site Security

* Prior experience working with DOE

* Understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)

* Proven analytic skills and the ability to establish objectives, formulate plans and processes, and implement solutions

* Display strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to safety and quality

Work Environment

* While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, bend, perform light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching. The employee may occasionally be required to climb stairs, ladders, and stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
