JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary responsibility of the Consumer Loan Specialist - Real Estate will be to originate consumer real estate loan requests referred from the retail delivery system (including branch referrals, non-strategic loans and online leads), and deliver a superior customer experience throughout the loan process. This position also requires knowledge of consumer non-real estate loan products that would be handled by the NRE Centralized Lending Team, to insure proper product presentation, selection and delivery.

Note: As part of the employment process for this position, you will have to meet the requirements of a background credit check. This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements.

Job Duties:

* Receives inbound calls from financial centers regarding consumer real estate loan inquiries, conducts interview with customer and makes product recommendations based on the customer s needs.

* Originates and delivers a complete loan application through appropriate loan origination system (Encompass or InStep).

* Communicates initial underwriting decision to customer and collects all required documentation from the customer to process the loan request.

* Communicates ongoing loan status to the customer and the branch referral partner throughout the application life cycle.

* Communicates final loan decision and approved terms to the customer prior to loan closing.

* Coordinates loan closing through proper channel and provides any additional support needed to bankers (FSRs, BCMs) via phone during loan closing and funding.

* Prepares all required early disclosures and insures delivery within regulatory timelines (HELOCs)

* Works with Consumer Lending Center and Encompass underwriting, processing and closing staff to insure seamless loan delivery.

* Works with regional consumer loan management on pricing and credit exceptions.

* Assists bankers (FSRs and BCMs) with consumer lending questions, both non-real estate and real estate.

* Provides feedback to loan partners (Credit Operations, Consumer Lending Center, Fulfillment, etc.) regarding products and processes.

* Makes outbound calls to highly qualified prospective customers identified through marketing programs and promotions.

* Completes, passes and maintains an up to date status for all positional and company required compliance and regulatory courses by the due date.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent in work experience)

* 5 years of consumer lending experience in a sales or processing role.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Rotating Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm
