We collect and analyze the data from those experiments with some of the most powerful computers in the world.

Fermilab s Accelerator Instrumentation Department is a team-based organization that designs, tests, installs and maintains detectors, electronics and signal processing that measure the properties of high energy protons and other sub-atomic particles. We support beam instrumentation in all the accelerators and beam lines across the entire campus.

The Accelerator Division Instrumentation Department is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Technician II to assist in the fabrication, testing and maintenance of our proton accelerators and beam transport line. Beam instrumentation systems are complex data acquisition systems consisting of analog, radio frequency, digital electronics, feedback control and signal processing software. These are closely integrated with the accelerator control system to measure and monitor accelerator performance.
