In 2020, MD West ONE and Methodist Orthopedics united as the most comprehensive head-to-toe musculoskeletal and nervous system practice in the region. Our depth in orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine specialized care allows our patients to be seen under ONE versatile, collaborative entity.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, flexible Certified Medical Assistant to assist a hip and knee orthopedic surgeon in our busy Healthwest clinic. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm (actual start/end times may vary within this range due to doctor's clinic schedule). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is comfortable juggling multiple tasks. In the future, the candidate may need to be able to float to a couple locations within Omaha per week to work with their Physician during clinic hours.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the highest quality service in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner, sensitive to patient and coworker needs
Contribute to the team-oriented environment by demonstrating cooperative, constructive, problem-solving interaction with coworkers
Room and take vitals on patients; take patient phone calls
Suture/staple removal, cast application and removal
Scheduling surgeries, cleaning and stocking exam rooms

Requirements:

Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification
Previous experience in a clinical setting
Outgoing and friendly personality
Strong verbal and computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
Reliable, punctual, courteous, flexible, and a fast learner
Ability to tolerate frequent physical activity (sitting, walking, standing, stooping, carrying, talking, seeing, bending, handling); ability to lift up to 40 lbs on an occasional basis
