This Business Director effectively leads both people and high-impact large-scale projects within assigned business unit. Develop, direct and monitor business systems in order to meet or exceed financial objectives. Monitor and analyze data to assess operational and financial performance. Provide recommendations for strategy and process improvement in the daily operations of the business, to include capital investments, and service development. Oversee logistics and operational process improvement initiatives (supply chain as applicable). Manage and negotiate contracts with external vendors. Lead, develop, and mentor individuals or teams of people to achieve desired financial and operational performance standards and related strategic business objectives. Develop and execute strategies that have significant impact on the human resource, clinical, and/or financial performance of the area of accountability. Develop business unit fiscal policy and procedures in conjunction with leadership that meets organizational goals, strategies, and objectives. Accountable for evaluating, implementing and executing strategic plan to ensure division and organization achieve goals. This position requires significant interaction with physicians and administrators.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of four years experience in healthcare finance or process improvement in a healthcare related environment required.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, health administration, industrial engineering, nursing or related field required.
Proven critical thinking, logic, analytical and problem solving skills for financial and operational improvement through data analysis and interpretation to identify and comprehend opportunities required.
Expert knowledge and extensive interest in computer based software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to lead others through development of skills and empowerment techniques required.
Ability to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals in a matrix environment is required.
Ability to manage monthly projects and develop the organization's annual processes required.
