Job Description:

Job Overview: 

Individual will handle day-to-day interaction and support of specific development efforts within the Enterprise Information Management team. Individual will be one of the primary points of contact for developers and the project Business Analyst which includes questions of translating requirements to technical specifications, data analysis, and source system feeds.    Individual will also support the Manager, Business Analysis team with our projects and work efforts as required. 


Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 


  • Partner with the project Business Analyst to ensure detailed business requirements are identified and accurately translated to technical specifications. 

  • Provide systems analysis, data analysis, and input on design as required for data warehouse development projects.

  • Engage at both a strategic and tactical level with business and technical stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

  • Manage outside resources and assigned internal project team resources for work on capital projects and enhancement requests.

  • Participate with the Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Technical Services, Operations and Application Development staff to create work plans to support strategic initiatives, business plans and emerging business needs.

  • Communicate with the Business, other IT teams, and departments by participating in or leading project team meetings.

  • Participate in training for future development and expertise. 

  • Close cooperation with peers within IT to ensure fully integrated, optimized and non-duplicative information processing and delivery.

  • Studies and understands the company’s business processes and applications, including their effect on data and reporting, and applies the knowledge gained in designing data warehouses and reports

  • Performs other duties as assigned

 
Job Requirements:
Education/Certification:


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of related education and experience

 
Experience:


  • 3-5 years of progressive related IT experience

 
Knowledge:



  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of data warehousing, relational databases, ETL tools, and development best practices

  • Strong working and analytical understanding of the key business processes associated with the source applications

  • Proficient working independently and in a team setting

  • Development of SQL queries

  • Familiarity with Agile framework and its associated practices

  • Experience with one or more of the following databases – Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle

  • Strong conceptual, communications, and technical skills

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

  • Strong relational and dimensional data modeling, data quality and database design skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


  • Experience working in a fast-paced high demand environment
