SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/ MEANINGFUL USE/EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY COORDINATOR

* Proficient in Meditech, GHX, Lawson, SMART

* HPG Department Super User.

* Kronos Editor

* Assist with Excel, Access and Word databases, queries and runs reports as requested for management, physicians and staff.

* Centricity and Mac Lab Super User, responsible for charges for all types of CCL procedures, Implants and medical devices.

* Enter Meditech statistics to track room utilization.

* Work with Director of Health Information Services, office staff and physicians to assure complete patient records.

* COMMUNICATION AND SCHEDULING SPECIALIST

* Schedule all CCL procedures and coordinate with multiple departments including registration, bed management, physician office and vendors as required.

* CCL Vendor liaison for case support scheduling & PO tracking and creation.

* Organize and manage all emergent and routine transfers to the CCL from outside facilities.

* Coordinate and distribute physician call schedules and physician vacation schedules.

* SAFETY

* Responsible for preventative maintenance scheduling and PO creation including upgrades and equipment installation.

* Initiate all work orders for facilities, Biomed and IS department to maintain safety of all equipment.

* Time Out Auditor for Quality Department.

* Infection Control Auditor for the Infection Control Department.

* Contact for the Evironmental Safety Department audits. Initiate follow up measures as needed.

* UNIT FACILITATOR

* Order all office supplies, documents and preprinted forms. Physician's office support and resource regarding updates in the CCL procedures and required documentation.

* CCL point person for first Patient Contact and Service Recovery.

* Work in tandem with resource RN to maintain daily logistical flow and troubleshoot obstacles to accommodate patients and staff as emergencies arise. Navigates STEMI algorithm.

* Able to assume resource role in the absence of senior staff.

* Certification in BLS and Telemetry.

* REQUIREMENTS

* Maintain a positive attitude and calm demeanor in high stress and time sensitive situations.

* Able to multitask and anticipate the needs of the unit, physicians and staff to provide quality patient care.

* Able to prioritize tasks in often dynamic situations.

* Maintain a general understanding of invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures as well as invasive peripheral vascular procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

3-7 years of experience is required.

BLS is required
