SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

-Member of the NA H2O2 Business Unit reporting directly to the Regional Process Technology Manager.
-Work assignment at Memphis H2O2 plant.
-Other Contacts: KOP Central Engineering Group ,Central Process Team (France/Jarrie) and others Arkema H2O2 plants process engineers

JOB DIMENSIONS

Process & Production: Responsibilities include; serving as expert of Memphis H2O2 Technology and Chemistry ensuring optimal production and process enhancements of operations and knowledge transfer to other parts of organization. Occasional process support for Becancour plant as needed.
People: Interacts with manufacturing sites listed above to manage activities and efforts of the process engineering function. Interacts with the H2O2 business team, R&D team, manufacturing management and other plant process engineers. Liaison for exchange of technical information with H2O2 technical team.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety and Environmental 25%
- Improve process safety at the site by leading and participating in all process safety programs such as; incident investigations response team, management of change, process hazard analysis and other process safety activities.
- Lead Process Hazards Assessment in accordance with internal standards, in collaboration with the manufacturing, maintenance and HSE teams. Define the safety critical systems of the H2O2 unit according to the rules in force in the company.
- Contribute to the Memphis occupational safety improvement program (doing BBs, audit....)
- Propose actions to reduce nuisance and environmental impact linked to the process.
- Site energy and Optim'O lead for energy and water subjects; Prepare and participate in management reviews, monitor action plans, reporting (QUIMEO), coordinate internal communication and train staff. Ensure documentation of energy and water monitoring in partnership with site's environmental engineer.

Process Development 45%
- Propose and coordinate the process studies of the site's Road Map.
- Lead conceptual studies, feasibility, basic engineering, HAZOP, implementation and start-up of installations for medium to large size CAPEX.
- Prepare basic engineering packages and supervise process aspect of detailed engineering studies. This includes PFD's, P&ID's, heat and material balances and principle of the functional analysis
- Organize industrial trials allowing the feasibility studies of the projects, approval of new materials, new suppliers, at the best cost while ensuring the quality of the products.
- Business support, competitive intelligence support and joint ownership of business unit process technology.

Plant Process Support 30%
- Identify, evaluate and coordinate opportunities for optimization of the process.
- Provide process support during periods of abnormal site management
- Support the plant in the management of WS quality and others quality issues in relation with chemistry
- Coordinate at the site the variable cost and energy improvement programs.
- Subject Matter Expert for process and/or unit operation and work with other site engineers to keep up-dated the process documentation of the plant (mass and thermal balance, technology manual, and so on).

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Located at Memphis, TN. Production plant facility with continuous processes and hazardous materials with regular interaction with other site personnel such as production, laboratory, supply chain, HSE, and Maintenance. May require occasional regional and international travel. Receives broad direction and determines task list for work completion, and prepares timing. Expected to show originality and innovation in developing complex problem solutions. Solutions and projects are expected to work reliably. Works closely with consultants, E&C companies, corporate groups, plant technology teams, etc. Requires the ability to perform work on a number of projects simultaneously. Expected to serve as subject matter expert and transfer knowledge to other areas of business. Expected to be able to balance priority of primarily working on medium and long term projects against requests to assist in day-to-day operational issues.
Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of the time within North America and Europe

REQUIRED EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

- Minimum BS Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of chemical industrial experience including project management, production and process.
- Well versed in the laws and rules governing the design and implementation of solutions regarding chemical processes. These include federal laws regarding environmental compliance issues, process hazards techniques and manuals, engineering standards, OSHA requirements, PSM, etc.
- Thorough understanding of Stage Gate and other Six Sigma tools and methodologies with the ability to apply to same in project management and problem solving. Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
- HAZOP and PHA proven experience
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and best practices
